ท่อ Cooling Water และ Chilled-Water

ระบบ cooling ของ data center อาจมี chilled-water loop, condenser water route, make-up water line และ utility connection รอบ plant room. Material requirement จริงขึ้นกับ project specification, pressure class, water chemistry และ local code review

Fire Protection และ Utility Pipe

Fire protection system ใน data center ต้องตาม project code, fire-safety design และ local approval. การเลือก stainless steel จึงควรตาม fire engineer specification ไม่ใช่ความเห็นทั่วไปของ supplier

เอกสาร project อาจ reference NFPA 75 หรือ NFPA 13 ผู้ซื้อควรเก็บ standard wording เดิมไว้ใน RFQ ไม่ควรย่อให้เหลือแค่ stainless steel pipe

บาง project อาจพิจารณา stainless steel สำหรับ fire protection หรือ utility pipe เมื่อมี corrosion control, cleaner internal surface, dry-pipe / pre-action risk, humid mechanical room หรือ service access ที่ยาก

แต่ต้องระวัง Stainless steel ไม่ได้ทำให้ fire system ปลอดความเสี่ยงทั้งหมด มันเป็นเพียง material route หนึ่งที่ต้องผ่าน specification และ approval

ก่อน quote ควรระบุ:

• system type: wet, dry, pre-action, utility หรือ route อื่น

Structural Tube, Support และ Equipment Frame

Data center ต้องมี support structure จำนวนมาก เช่น cable tray supports, equipment skids, pipe supports, rooftop equipment frames, plant-room brackets, base plates และ service platforms

คำว่า stainless steel structural tube data center อาจหมายถึง square tube, rectangular tube, fabricated frame หรือ mixed shipment ที่มี plate และ coil ปนกัน Supplier จึงควรถาม product form ก่อน quote

304 vs 316L ในพื้นที่ร้อน ชื้น หรือใกล้ทะเล

ใน indoor controlled area หลายจุด 304 stainless steel อาจเพียงพอ โดยเฉพาะ general pipe, tube, panel และ support ที่ project specification ยอมรับ

316L stainless steel ควรถูกพิจารณาเมื่อ material เจอ coastal air, rooftop outdoor condition, humid utility room, chloride-bearing water, cleaning chemical หรือจุดที่เปลี่ยนยาก Molybdenum ใน 316L ช่วยเรื่อง pitting resistance ส่วน low-carbon wording มักเกี่ยวกับ welding และ document

MTC, Testing, Packing และ Staged Delivery

Data center construction มักเดินเร็ว วัสดุอาจส่งตาม phase, building zone, floor, system หรือ contractor package ถ้า label และ packing ไม่ชัด แม้วัสดุถูกต้องก็ยังทำให้ site delay ได้

ก่อน shipment ควรตรวจ:

สำหรับ data center, staged delivery สำคัญมาก Shipment ที่จัดตาม system package ช่วยลด sorting time on site. แต่ถ้าของ mixed และ label ไม่ชัด อาจทำให้ installation ช้าลงแม้ท่อทุกเส้นถูกต้อง

RFQ Checklist สำหรับ Data Center Contractor

RFQ ที่ชัดช่วยให้ supplier quote real scope และช่วยให้ contractor เปรียบเทียบ offer ได้ยุติธรรม ไม่ควรส่งแค่ขนาดท่อกับจำนวน แต่ควรบอกว่าท่อนั้นอยู่ในระบบไหน และต้องใช้เอกสารอะไรบ้าง

ข้อมูลหลักที่ควรมี:

• ระบบใช้งาน: data center cooling, condenser water, fire protection, utility line, support frame, base plate หรือ panel
• เกรดวัสดุ: 304, 304L, 316L หรือ grade ที่ project ระบุ
• รูปแบบสินค้า: pipe, tube, plate, coil, cut piece หรือ fabricated part
• มาตรฐาน: ASTM A312, ASTM A554, ASTM A240, EN, JIS หรือ wording ตาม drawing
• ขนาด: OD, wall thickness, Schedule, tube size, plate thickness, width, length หรือ drawing size
• วิธีต่อหรือ加工: welded, seamless, grooved, threaded, flanged, cut, drilled หรือ formed
• สภาพผิว: pickled, passivated, polished, No.1, 2B หรือที่ project ต้องการ
• เอกสารและตรวจสอบ: MTC, Heat Number, PMI, NDT, hydrostatic test หรือ third-party inspection
• Packing: end caps, bundle labels, pallet, crate, moisture protection และ phase marks
• ปลายทางและแผนส่ง: country, port, site phase และ delivery schedule

ถ้าเป็น outdoor หรือ coastal route ให้เปลี่ยน grade และ test requirement ให้ชัด เช่น 316L, SCH40S, hydrostatic test record และ export packing
